UAE Criticizes Iran for Assaults on Jordan and Gulf Nations

Date:

The United Arab Emirates has issued a strong condemnation of recent Iranian attacks targeting several countries in the Middle East, including Bahrain, Kuwait, Qatar, and Jordan. The UAE’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs emphasized that these strikes pose a grave threat to regional security and stability, labeling them as blatant violations of the sovereignty of neighboring nations. The ministry reiterated the UAE’s unwavering support for the affected countries.

The ministry also expressed concern over attacks in Iraq’s Kurdistan region, highlighting the potential for further destabilization in the region. This comes amid rising tensions in the Middle East, following ongoing military exchanges involving Iran and the United States.

In Kuwait, authorities reported that an Iranian strike hit a power and water desalination facility, resulting in a fire and causing considerable damage to several electricity-generation units. This incident underscores the escalating risk to critical infrastructure in the region.

Jordanian military officials announced that their air defense systems successfully intercepted and destroyed three Iranian missiles that had breached their airspace. Fortunately, no casualties or material damage were reported in Jordan. Similarly, Bahrain’s armed forces reported the successful interception and destruction of multiple Iranian aerial threats by their air defense systems.

The recent series of attacks illustrates the heightened state of unrest in the Middle East. As the situation continues to unfold, the affected nations are reinforcing their defensive measures and seeking international support to address these security challenges.
