Saudi Arabia and Bahrain have taken a significant step towards enhancing their collaborative efforts in research and knowledge exchange by signing a new memorandum of understanding. The agreement was formalized between the King Fahd National Library of Saudi Arabia and the Bahrain Center for Strategic, International and Energy Studies after discussions in Riyadh.
The memorandum facilitates the exchange of scientific and knowledge resources, aiming to boost cooperation between research institutions and national libraries of the two Gulf nations. It outlines the sharing of information and documents, alongside plans for reciprocal visits by researchers and specialists, thereby fostering an environment of mutual learning and development.
Furthermore, the agreement includes provisions for organizing joint seminars, workshops, and conferences. These initiatives are expected to support the development of training programs that bolster research activities and knowledge-sharing efforts, ultimately contributing to the preservation, production, and dissemination of knowledge.

By committing to these shared goals, the two countries aim to enhance their collective capabilities in research and innovation.
