Oman, Iran Discuss Ensuring Safe Navigation Through Strait of Hormuz

In a bid to address ongoing regional tensions, Oman and Iran engaged in high-level discussions in Muscat on Saturday, focusing on maritime security and safeguarding navigation in the Strait of Hormuz. This crucial meeting was spearheaded by Omani Foreign Minister Sayyid Badr bin Hamad Al Busaidi and his Iranian counterpart, Seyed Abbas Araghchi.

The dialogue centered on evaluating the repercussions of recent regional developments on maritime security. Both nations stressed the critical need for maintaining open and safe passage through the Strait of Hormuz, a waterway of significant strategic importance to international shipping and trade.
