Oman’s Ministry of Labour has officially announced a two-day National Day holiday for November 2026. Citizens and residents will have the opportunity to enjoy a long weekend, as the holiday will fall on Wednesday, November 25, and Thursday, November 26, aligning with the weekend.
The announcement was part of the official schedule of national and religious holidays for 2026, released by the Ministry to help both public and private sector organizations plan their work schedules and activities effectively. This early notification is intended to facilitate better preparation for the holiday period.
In addition to the National Day holiday, other key dates on Oman’s 2026 holiday calendar include Sultan’s Accession Day on January 15, Al Isra’a Wal Mi’raj on January 18, Hijri New Year on June 18, and the Prophet Muhammad’s Birthday on August 27. The specific dates for Eid Al Fitr and Eid Al Adha will be announced later, as they depend on the sighting of the moon marking the beginning of the Hijri months.
Oman’s National Day is celebrated with a range of events and activities across the country’s governorates, emphasizing the nation’s rich heritage, culture, and national identity. These celebrations play a significant role in uniting the country’s citizens and highlighting Oman’s achievements and history.
