Jordan and Qatar Urge Diplomacy Amid Growing Regional Tensions.

In a significant diplomatic engagement, Qatar and Jordan conducted high-level discussions to evaluate their bilateral relations and address recent developments in the Middle East. The dialogue underscored the critical role of diplomacy in mitigating regional tensions.

Qatari Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani and Jordanian Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi engaged in a phone conversation to explore strategies for enhancing cooperation between their nations. They emphasized the need to coordinate efforts aimed at promoting security and stability throughout the region.

During the talks, Sheikh Mohammed highlighted the necessity of honoring diplomatic commitments outlined in the memorandum of understanding between the United States and Iran. He particularly pointed out the importance of maintaining freedom of navigation through the Strait of Hormuz, a crucial chokepoint for global oil shipments.
