Oman’s State Financial and Administrative Audit Authority recently took part in the 27th meeting of Deputy Heads of GCC Audit and Accounting Institutions, which was conducted through a videoconference. The gathering focused on various strategic initiatives, notably the preparation for the 7th GCC Competition for Research and Studies in Auditing and Accounting. A significant proposal discussed was the development of an AI-powered platform to streamline and enhance the committee’s work and its outcomes.
The participants also took the opportunity to review the recommendations from past research competitions, emphasizing the importance of these insights for future initiatives. Training programs that are planned for 2025 and 2026 were another focal point, underscoring the commitment to enhancing skills and capabilities within the region’s auditing and accounting sectors.
In addition to these discussions, officials examined the agenda for the upcoming meeting of GCC audit institution heads.
